KYOCERA ENTERING ACCOUNT CODE FROM MAC PRINT SETTINGS WINDOWS 10
The Windows 10 workstations had no problems at all when the printer was installed locally - the problem only occurred when going thru the print server and printing from specific programs.ĬiaranS4R said, was to change the printer properties on the server and print directly to the printer. Our printers are also shared through Group Policy.
We had a new Windows 2012 R2 print server and were using Kyocera 6.3.25 drivers. Those programs generated the "invalid accounting code" error on the printers. Everything was printing fine except for PDFs and one custom program we use. I had the same issue - just fixed it this morning. Printers are shared on the Server and are applied through Group Policy.

All other documents print fine when the printer code is entered but not the PDF "incorrect code". I have a user that is experiencing exact same issue. I'm sure I have left something out but this may help.
In the 'KM-Net for Accounting' application (download from Kyoceras web site) I right click on the given printer and here 'Enable Job Accounting' is ticked. (As an administrator) in the printers properties, Device Settings tab, select 'Administrator', enter password (its aaaaaa by default) and in the 'Job Accounting' tab I have 'Job Accounting' ticked and 'Prompt for account ID' selected.Ĥ.
(As an administrator) in the printers properties, Ports tab, SNMP Status Enabled has to be ticked and the community name of 'public' and 'SNMP Device Index' of '1' set.ģ. Just to clarify this solution solved my issue but it wasn't clear to me that I had to have all of the following -ġ.the SNMP service running and have set in the properties of this service the following - a community name of 'public' in the Traps tab, 'send authenitication trap' ticked in Security tab with 'public' as an accepted community with rights 'read only', I also had 'accept SNMP packets from any host' set for my config.Ģ.
